Youth - “I really appreciate the way CruCon develops conversations with my parents. I've learned things about them that I never would have otherwise (for better or for worse :), and it has deepened our relationship. CruCon has also really pushed me out of my comfort zone in great ways. I have become much more confident in conversation, presenting and prayer, and a lot of that can be attributed to the CruCon program.” - SLAQer

Parent - “We are actually looking in one another’s eye and having conversations about really important things other than movies and books and “do the right thing” we are having a really cool discussion.” - Emily Wettig

Youth - I just think it’s so important for my generation to hear from older generations, especially about less enjoyable topics like faith and science or faith and violence. I also think it’s just as important for older generations to hear from my generation, and to understand where we’re coming from. -SLAQer

Parent - “This was fabulous - both for myself and for my son. I grew up in a community having never wrestled with these questions. I'm still very much undecided about the question of corporate nonviolence, but this has gone a long way to challenge me with personal nonviolence.” - Jesse Mercer

Parent - “One of the challenges of engaging difficult contemporary issues is the  the clutter that surrounds we have so many voices, so many competing narratives CruCon has helped us to listen more carefully to scripture as we have talked about these different topics.” - Jason Rhodes Showalter

Youth - “Something I really appreciate is the questions we can ask that help us then know how to better have converstations with people who ask us questions. CruCon gives me practice at knowing how to approach the questions and that "I don't know" is an okay answer because I do not know everything.” - SLAQer
